Elaine Andres

Elaine AndresRev. Elaine Andres
serves as the Executive Director for Sacred Path Ministry. As a spiritual director, she offers this ministry to individuals and small groups. She is trained as a supervisor for spiritual directors and shares her deep insight with those seeking to experience the transformative power of God. She has taught Reiki as healing prayer to individuals and in church congregations for over twenty-eight years. Elaine has developed a reputation of offering innovative, dynamic, and high quality events for spiritual directors, congregations, and those in healing prayer ministry.

Her work as a minister within the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) denomination, both locally and regionally, has gained her the deep respect of pastors and members alike. She is recognized within the international Reiki community as an elder teacher. Within the spiritual directors international community, she is known as a leader dedicated to the ministry of spiritual direction.

Elaine has provided leadership to the Church for over forty years. She has extensive experience in leading retreats and small groups and in planning and hosting conferences and seminars. She offers training in prayer practices, spiritual discernment, leadership skills, and creating healing prayer ministry.

Elaine says, “The desire for a deeper relationship with God drew me into places of formal learning and invited me to become a student of my own life. As a lifelong learner, I reflect deeply upon the events and happenings in my daily life. My spiritual path has taken me to both the deserts of pain and despair and to the mountaintops of joy. By opening myself to both pain and joy, I know a deep presence of Love and Compassion that I experience as the presence of God. Noticing God’s action in my life has been, and is, my greatest teacher.

As an ordained minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), my call to ministry led me to study in the areas of contemplative and active prayer. My desire to impact the institution of the church drew me to learn methods to discern God’s will in systems and structures. My joy in connecting with God in community opened me to study contemplative worship and small group ministry. The desire to share with others called me into leadership training and youth ministry. My passion for healing led me into extensive study of Reiki, visualization, Contemplative Healing Prayer, and other forms of healing and prayer.

I joyfully share my life with all who seek a deeper relationship with God, the Divine Mystery of Life.”
